August 1, 2023 The United Federation LEOS-PBA Law Enforcement Officers Security & Police Benevolent Association is happy to report that it has filed an election with the National Labor Relations Board Region 20 to represent the 150 Paragon Systems, Inc Protective Service Officers (PSO's) in Hawaii, Guam, Saipan & American Samoa now presently under contract with SPiT-FA.
As noted by the Statement of Position documents filed by SPiT-FA below they are now attempting to get our NLRB petition dismissed based on an absurd & frivolous argument in their attempt to takeaway the RIGHTS & VOICES of these Paragon System, Inc Hawaiian, Guam, Saipan & American Samoa PSO members.
United Federation LEOS-PBA President Charles Chip Strebeck noted "that the Paragon PSO's in Hawaii, Guam Saipan and American Samoa are one of the lowest paid Paragon PSO's in the country based on the cost of living in this area as noted below. These Paragon PSO's should be making closer to our Paragon PSO's in Los Angeles California who are making $37.92 per hour vs. $28.45 @ one location and $26.45 at all other Hawaii locations & $20.06 in Guam, Saipan & American Samoa".
United Federation LEOS-PBA Representatives are already on the ground in Hawaii, Guam, Saipan & American Samoa talking with the Paragon Systems, Inc Protective Service Officers (PSO's) about their present wages, benefits and working conditions and the lack of service and support they are now receiving from their current Union SPiT-FA.
Our representatives from California who were all former local union officers of SPiT-FA explained to these Paragon PSO's in Hawaii, Guam, Saipan and American Samoa how the United Federation LEOS-PBA helped them and their 800 plus California members by joining our family the United Federation LEOS-PBA and how we can help improve their present wages, benefits and working conditions, like we have done for thousands of Paragon PSO's nationwide.
Most recently the 140 Paragon Boston PSO's just voted to leave their Union SPiT-FA to join our family United Federation LEOS-PBA Law Enforcement Officers Security & Police Benevolent Association.
Presently the 325 Paragon Systems, Inc Court Security Officers CSO's & SSO's in Washington DC are presently in the process of voting out SPiT-FA to join our family United Federation LEOS-PBA.
On July 31st the 93 ISS Action Transportation Security Officers in Arizona just voted to leave their Union SPiT-FA to join our Union United Federation LEOS-PBA by a score of 51 to 11. The question remains is WHY are SPiT-FA members all across the country voting to leave SPiT-FA to join our Family?
The answer is easy. SPiT-FA charges high dues and is failing to service its members. While the United Federation LEOS-PBA is providing a better service & benefits to our members. This includes proving an attorney for all Negotiations, grievance meetings in the event of a suspension, termination, federal mediation & arbitrations.
Our Union, United Federation LEOS-PBA also is negotiating the highest wage percentage on behalf of our members more than an other security union nationwide, Our Union United Federation LEOS-PBA is averaging 6% to 10% wage increases for our Paragon PSO's nationwide.
We also have several full-time representatives from around the country who also are responsible to visit the shops and be on call 24/7 to answer your phone calls and process your grievances.
Unlike SPiT-FA who denies the majority of its members grievances claiming it has no merit, as the one above, our Union United Federation always attempts to settle its grievances and utilizes the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service FMCS as an additional step prior to arbitration which gives our United Federation LEOS-PBA members add job security & protection!
